He went on to obtain a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from Kaduna Polytechnic, and Medical Sociology at both Masters and PhD levels at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. In March 2009, he advanced his nursing professional pursuit when he was inducted into Fellowship of West African College of Nursing (FWACN) at the Biennial General Meeting (BGM) in Cotonou, Benin Republic. His Professional/Career Objective has remained Providing Evidenced-based Humanistic Service to Individuals, Families and Society through Education and Research in Mental Health, HIV/AIDS, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and Medical-Surgical Nursing. Currently, Nurse (Dr.) Anyebe is a Senior Lecturer/Research Fellow at the Department of Nursing Sciences, University of Ilorin, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, Health, Nigeria. He is also a visiting Senior Lecturer with the Department of Nursing Sciences, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, College of Medical Sciences, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he teaches postgraduate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing courses including Foundations of Psycho-pathology, Developmental Psychiatry and Family Psychiatry (MSc/MPhil/PhD students). He also supervises Postgraduate research projects at both MSc/MPhil and PhD Levels. He has over 50 published journal articles in both National and International Journals. He has also presented over 50 conference/invitational papers in both local and international Conferences/Workshops. He has authored a book, titled Socioeconomic Consequences of HIV/AIDS in a Traditional African Setting. He is a Reviewer for many International and national journals from 2012 to date, including Journal of Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (JANAC) – A Publication of Association of Nurses in AIDS Care: USA; Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Research Journal; Journal of Nursing and Care; International Journal of Psychology and Counselling; International Journal of Tropical Disease & Health: 2013 – date, Tropical Journal of Nursing (a publication of the University of Maiduguri/UMTH), among others. He has several awards including Nigerian Nursing Excellence Award in Lagos in 2009 and Excellence Award from the Eastern Polytechnic, Kenema Sierra Leone in 2003. Reading, writing and playing lawn tennis are his hobbies. He is a consultant to Women for Health (W4H)-Nigeria. He is currently working on many research areas including Stigmatised Health Conditions (Mental Illnesses and HIV/AIDS), and community mental health services in Nigeria including mental health situation of IDPs. He is a member of many Professional and academic Associations including the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), the Association of the Psychiatric Nurses of Nigeria (APNON), International Association of Psychiatric Nurses of Nigeria (IAPNN), and the Nigerian Anthropological and Sociological Association (NASA), among others.
